Service Disclosure Statement - Immigration Consultation.

Preamble

This is a statement of disclosure about the Immigration Consultation services we will provide for the duration of the consultation.  This disclosure statement is applicable to both online and in person consultations.
Please read it carefully.

Parties.

The consultation will be provided to the "Client". The "Client" is only a "client" for the purposes and duration of the consultation until termination of this service.

Glass Lawyers will be referred to as the "Lawfirm".

The Client will receive expert advice from an Immigration Law Specialist and MARA registered migration agent, herein referred to as the "Legal Practitioner".

Fees & Charges.

All fees are payable prior to consultation.

Online consultation* : $350.00 flat rate.
In person consultation* : $285.00 per hour or part thereof.
In person consultation (Student concession) : $160.00 per hour or part thereof.

If you wish to proceed with us to act on your behalf as an official legal representative (such as in application or appeals).  The consultation moneys will be held as a credit  (down payment) and offset againts any further legal fees (quoted to you at the time of consultation) at the discretion of the Lawfirm.

Interested party or parties (previously the Client prior to termination of the consultation) must contact us within 6 months from time of consultation in order to request that any credits apply.

Services provided.

 Advice will be provided in all areas of Immigration including but not limited by;

  1. Business Migration (Temporay & Permanent).
  2. Appeals MRT, AAT, RRT, Federal Magistrates Court
  3. Skilled Migration (on and off shore)
  4. Spouse Migration.
  5. Family Migration.
  6. Citizenship.
  7. All other immigration related enquiries.

Advice will be given that is relevant to the "Client" and /or persons with whom there is direct relationship to each other (such as spouse or sibling) per single application or joint application, or in any other area of immigration relevant to the Client.

This service is to not provide advice in relation to the Clients own application nor provide assurance to the Clients perceptions of eligibilty (see Terms & Conditions).

Online Consultations.

The Client will receive advice relevant to specific queries only in relation to immigration.  On conclusion of the consultation the Client will receive a written report in the form of a PDF.

The client will be granted access to their online area (Portal) and be provided with a login & Password.

In Person Consultations.

The Client will be charged at the hourly rate and will only be the Client within the duration of the consultation until terminated.

The Client will not be granted access to the online area.

The consultation will be considered terminated when;

  1. The consultation has ended.
  2. Otherwise determined by the Legal Practioner.
  3. A Costs Agreement is entered into.
  4. Legal representation is requested by the client and is initiated at the discretion of the Legal Practitioner.

 

Terms & Conditions.

  1. The Legal Practitioner will refer to current and relevent law and Government policies.
  2. You will be provided with a quote in any applicable area of application or appeal, where we will act on your behalf.
  3. Advice will be given within the area of Immigration only.
  4. Advice will only be given to the Client.
  5. The Legal Practitioner will address the Client's questions or concerns with the utmost professionalism.
  6. The Clients situation or area of relevancy will be critically assessed.
  7. The Client will be provided with professional legal advice upon which he or she can rely in relation to the Clients area of enquiry.
  8. The Client will be asked to provide all the nessessary information and/or documentation so that the Legal Practitioner can undertake thorough research investigation and advise.
  9. Our policy is to not provide advice in relation to applications prepared by others as we will be unable to provide assurance that such applications in entirety will be correct or succeed.
  10. Advice will be provided independantly from any assessment undertaken by the Client or others, including proper documentation or any other issues that have been assessed by the Client or others as fullfilling requirements set out by DIAC.

Online.

Conclusion of the consultation will be determined at the discretion of the Legal Practitioner. But not until;

  • The Client has satisfied any request for applicable information

or

  • after the Client fails to respond to the request within a reasonable time.

Providing Information.

Information can be provided by the following methods:

  1. Verbally.
  2. hand delivered Documents, including written statements, legal documents or other documents
  3. Electronically, via Fax, email or uploaded directly to the clients web portal online.

It is the responsibility of the client to provide the information as requested by the Legal Practitioner.

The Legal Practitioner will determine whether the information provided is relevant to  the original request.

You will be notified if information is inadequate and that advice or assessment may not be complete or sufficient as a consequence.

Exceptions.

Advice will not be given to individuals representing other parties without prior written consent from such parties.
